I received my B.S. degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Portland State University in 2017. My story; however began long before that. Traditionally trained in culinary arts and specifically patisserie, I trained and traveled in Santa Cruz CA, Somerset UK, and Portland OR. Food has been a basis of inspiration and development, and although I am currently found much more often in labs and classes than kitchens, the arts continue to propel and inspire my ambitions today. I am currently working as a research assistant in Dr. Litovksy’s lab pursuing understandings of binaural and bilateral hearing with both typical hearing individuals and cochlear implant users. It is my goal to incorporate evidence from laboratory discoveries into clinical practice as I pursue my clinical degree in audiology.
