I am from Formosa—Taiwan—a small island in Asia. I majored in nutrition science and education during undergrad at National Taiwan Normal University, and then pursued a post-baccalaureate degree at the University of Washington, where I majored in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Now, I am in the audiology program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to become an audiologist and I am doing a capstone research project in the Binaural Hearing & Speech Lab.
My interest is in hearing instrumentation. Besides providing clinical services, my passion includes researching current technologies and patient outcomes. I hope to provide evidence-based practice in order to maximize patient benefits. I am looking forward to a practicum in bigger hospitals with a larger population of patients with hearing aids and cochlear implants and to learn more about my patients’ needs. In the future, I hope to contribute to developing educational programs and materials for patients to promote hearing health
