Liberty Moore, and undergraduate student in the BHSL, was awarded the Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowship which gives undergraduate students the opportunity to undertake their own research with UW-Madison faculty. The proposed project is titled “Using optical imaging to investigate auditory attention in cochlear implant listeners with single-sided deafness,” and will investigate how these individuals distribute auditory attention to the two different inputs as well as the neural mechanisms of auditory attention and integration using functional-near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Congratulations Liberty!
