Senior PhD student Jasenia Hartman has been awarded the “Diversity Supplement Award” by the National Institutes of Health. The money from the award will help fund Jasenia’s research, which aims to investigate the impact of synchronized cochlear implant stimulation on speech understanding in noise, and the extent to which visual cues enhance speech understanding through audio-visual integration. This project is in collaboration with UT-Dallas and NYU. Congratulations Jasenia!
