Roya Abdi
Position title: Ph.D. Student
I am a PhD student in the Binaural Hearing and Speech Lab at Waisman Center/University of Wisconsin-Madison. I received my Bachelor in audiology from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran. During my work as a clinical audiologist, I had been using different behavioral and electrophysiological methods to evaluate people with hearing loss in general and children in specific. In line with my interest, I studied children with bilateral cochlear implants during my Master in the University of Melbourne in Australia. During my PhD, I am interested to understand about the processing of binaural cues required for binaural hearing with focus on sound localization skills in typically- and atypically developed people using bilateral cochlear implants.
