I am a graduate student in the Clinical Audiology Program. I received a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a certificate in Folklore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. Before beginning graduate school, I spent two years as a Hearing Instrument Specialist managing a private practice in central Wisconsin. Currently, I’m interested in the social and emotional effects that hearing loss can cause to a listener and their communication partners, and how relationships with hearing loss differ across cultures. I believe that the research produced from the Binaural Hearing and Speech Lab will lead manufacturers and practicing audiologists to create better outcomes for people with cochlear implants. Beyond research, my interests include cooking, photography, and hiking.
