I graduated in 2016 with my Doctorate of Audiology from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. I then worked as a pediatric audiologist at M Health Fairview for 7 years, with specialization in electrophysiology, cochlear implants, behavioral diagnostics, and amplification. Throughout my time as a clinical pediatric audiologist, I was involved in empirical research projects including: a multi-site investigation of outcomes related to cochlear implantation in children with single-sided deafness; investigating the relationship between a genetic mutation in SLC26A4, hearing loss progression, and cochlear implantation status in children; evaluating the effects of high-strength magnetic imaging on the vestibular system. I also have a strong teaching and mentorship background having taught several undergraduate audiology courses, and serving as a clinical preceptor, over the years. My current position as a pediatric research audiologist gives me the ability to combine all of these passions: pediatric audiology, research, and mentoring!
