Emily Burg, Au.D. student in the BHSL, received a James and Susan Jerger Award for Excellence in Student Research at the 2018 American Academy of Audiology Conference in Nashville, TN this April. The research poster explored cognitive load in normal hearing individuals listening to cochlear implant simulations using pupillometry (the measure of pupil dilation) to quantify listening effort.
